A confidence exhibition Inspired by a news article about the prevalence of eating disorders amongst women. The goal of the exhibition is to educate, encourage, and empower women.

The facade and entrance mimic a restroom, a place were women are often confronted with there self-esteem. Graffiti styled infographics and statistics line the tiled walls educating visitors on the issue. The photo booth stalls act as a transition point, inviting visitors to take a photo.

The photos are queued and projected on the wall. Under the featured photo reads “This is what _______ looks like”. Visitors can fill in the blank for themselves or others with provided words. The photos are then uploaded to Instagram and twitter , and using RFID, the selected word become a hashtag on the post. Visitors are then “showered” with complements. They are encouraged to take one and replace it with another they create.

After the complements, the pictures and stories of inspirational women, who have overcome all sorts of odds, line the walls. On their way out visitors are given journals and mirror decals, to bring part go the exhibit home with them, and to help encourage and empower others.
